HARTFORD, CT — June 18, 2024 — Oak, Elm & Birch LLP announced today that the partnership has elected senior associate Roxanne Patterson to the firm's equity partnership, effective July 1, 2024. Patterson joined the firm's Litigation group in 2016 and has built a practice focused on product liability defense, mass torts, and complex commercial disputes.
Patterson has served as lead or co-lead counsel on product liability matters for three of the firm's long-tenured manufacturing clients and has tried cases to verdict in Connecticut Superior Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She teaches trial advocacy as a visiting adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law.
"Roxanne has tried more cases to verdict as a senior associate than a lot of partners have tried in twenty years at the bar," said Managing Partner Steven Stone. "She is the first person the Litigation group turns to on hard product cases, and clients ask for her by name. Elevating her is a straightforward decision."
Patterson earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she served as Articles Editor of the Connecticut Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She holds a B.A. from Connecticut College. She will continue to report through Litigation Chair Lance Harrington.
Patterson is the firm's first internal elevation to equity partner since 2021.
