Four Firm Attorneys to Present at 2024 CBA Annual Meeting

Hartford, CT ·

HARTFORD, CT — September 2024 — Four attorneys from Oak, Elm & Birch LLP will present continuing legal education sessions at the Connecticut Bar Association's 2024 Annual Meeting, to be held at the Connecticut Convention Center on September 23 and 24.

Flannery O'Neill, head of the firm's Tax practice, will co-present "BBA Partnership Audits: What Practitioners Have Learned in 2023 and 2024" on the morning of September 23 with a panelist from the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. Winona Thorpe, head of Trusts & Estates, will present "Charitable Remainder Trusts After the 2026 Estate Tax Sunset" that same afternoon. On September 24, senior associate Roxanne Patterson will speak on "Managing Expert Discovery in Connecticut Product Liability Cases," and non-equity partner Jasmine Pendleton will present "Negotiating Data-Privacy Addenda Under the CTDPA."

"The CBA Annual Meeting is where Connecticut practitioners actually talk to each other about what they are seeing in their matters," said Flannery O'Neill. "We always try to send people who have something to say from the trenches, not from a slide deck."

The full meeting agenda and registration details are available through the Connecticut Bar Association.
