Blaine Bennett

Blaine Bennett is a Junior Associate in the Corporate group. His practice focuses on corporate governance, general business advisory, and technology transactions. He drafts form agreements, supports M&A due diligence, and handles the governance housekeeping — board resolutions, minute-book maintenance, annual-report filings — that keeps closely-held clients in good standing. Bennett earned his J.D. from UConn School of Law in 2023 and his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Rochester in 2015. Before law school he spent four years as a software engineer, most of that time working on backend systems for a mid-sized financial-services platform. ## Beyond the Firm Bennett's engineering background occasionally pulls him into the Corporate group's technology-transactions work, where he reviews code-escrow and source-code-license terms alongside the contract language. He still contributes to one open-source Python project on nights and weekends and has said the code review on that project has kept him a better writer than any legal-writing class would have.
